Welcome to Preserve Lafayette!

We have created this website to keep Lafayette citizens informed of, and engaged in, the proposed annexation and development of 78 acres of agricultural land on Lafayette's eastern border. We believe this land is a critical link in Lafayette's Open Space program, and must be preserved, not developed. We will be posting updates as this unfolds, and you can join our mailing list to receive these updates in your inbox.

First on the docket is a neighborhood meeting organized by the developer, coming up on February 27. Details are below. We will be there, and hope you will attend too!

Following is the announcement per the City's website:

Neighborhood meeting for Baseline Road and North 119th Street

Kairoi Residential will host a neighborhood meeting about its annexation proposal

Kairoi Residential will hold a developer-led neighborhood meeting regarding its annexation petition for approximately 78 acres of land generally located northwest and southwest of the intersection of Baseline Road and North 119th Street.

Date: Thursday, Feb. 27

Time: 5:45pm

Location: Confluence Small Business Collective

Address: 75 Waneka Parkway, Lafayette, CO 80026

Ten days prior to the meeting date, the applicant is required to notify all residents within 750 feet of the property by mail and post notification signs on the property. Community members can sign up for project updates and additional information on Kairoi Residential's project website. You can learn more about Kairoi Residential by visiting their website

City staff will be in attendance at the meeting to answer questions about the application process, but this is a developer-led meeting.
